I was a student of Ann´s at Woodland Elementary in 1969 and 1970 (4th & 5th grade). She was an incredible teacher and I have thought about her often over the years. When I was working at Purdue University in 1983, I was lucky enough to cross paths with one of her nephews and pass along my thanks to her. She cared deeply for all of her students.

Today I counted our years of friendship, "best buddies", 80 years, it has been my privilege of being unlikely friends, different in many ways, but always mutual respect and love. Our "Fab-4, sometimes 5" lunches in later years, at their cozy
home on Juno Lake, forcing Don to retreat to the camper for his afternoon nap, due to our raucous chatter and laughter!
I so appreciate my lengthy, special friendship with Ann and Don.

Ann was a good friend of my mother Joan Pauley at Greenleaf, they shared many meals and stories. Ann was a great lady with devoted, caring sons that I was happy to visit with when we were all at Greenleaf at the same time. Ann will be missed by all who knew her at Greenleaf.
