Connie Troyer Obituary

Connie Irene Troyer, 84, of Union, Michigan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, to be reunited with her husband, parents and sisters in heaven.

Connie was born on June 26, 1941, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Forrest and Arvilla (Maust) Anglemyer. She attended Concord High School and married Moses Troyer on July 8, 1961.

Connie worked alongside her husband as the bookkeeper for their family businesses, including Troyer's Super Valu, and her support was a vital part of their success.

She loved her grandchildren deeply and created a welcoming home for them to visit and play at the lake house. She also enjoyed shopping and looking for deals at garage sales.

She is survived by her son, Brad (Michelle) Troyer of Schoolcraft, Michigan; her daughter, Jennifer Hunter of Oak Park, Illinois; and her five beloved grandchildren: Mackenzie, Noah, Rielly, Jacob, and Violet. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Moses; her sisters, Doris Kehr and Linda Anglemyer; and her son-in-law, Christopher Hunter.

A memorial service to celebrate Connie's life will be held at Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren (where she has been a lifelong member) on Friday, Sept. 5. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with the memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m.
