My sincere condolences to his wife and family. I think I babysat for your daughter at that time she was the only child. You lived in Englewood NJ in the Forrest Gardens. Bless up! You entered my thoughts. Don´t know why.

MY father, Bill Milliner, was Erich's Elkhart High School basketball coach and maintained contact with him through the years.
Erich was a valuable asset to the Elkhart Blazer Basketball team when they went to the Indiana State tourney in 1954. Whenever Erich was in town he would contact Dad and often came to the house to catch up on life happenings. As Dad often said, " Erich is not only an accomplished athlete but a class act."
Hopefully the many memories and love will help you through this difficult time.
Blessings to you all...

Erich was an icon, possibly the best athlete in the history of Elkhart High School. I was 6 years younger but kids my age idolized Erich as an athlete and role model. He was a gentleman and the type of person we all aspired to be. Erich, thank you for being a leader, a true gentleman and for enriching our lives with your god given talents.

Even as a young man Erich was very kind and thoughtful. I am five years younger, but he would take time to greet us kids after games, with a kind word. I will always remember his class, even as a high school football and basketball player. He was a starter on the first EHS team to make it to the final four.
