Freda Knisley Obituary
Freda F. Knisley, 80, Elkhart, died on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. She was born on Feb. 11, 1945, in Goshen, to Sydney and Mary (Taylor) Lacefield. In 1966, she married Stephen "Steve" Knisley.
Surviving are her husband, Steve Knisley, Elkhart; two children, Paul (April) Knisley, Nappanee, and Kelly Knisley, Elkhart; two grandchildren, Dustyn (Kaitlyn) Knisley and Paige Knisley; four great-grandchildren, Carter, Carson, Carley and Bodhi Knisley; and a sister, Mildred Farrier.
Preceding her in death are her parents and a sister, Shirley Lawson.
Freda was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Goshen High School and enjoyed square dancing with Steve when they were younger.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, with a service following at 1 p.m., all at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St. Goshen, IN 46526. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Pastor Earl Hossler will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Goshen VFW Post 985, 1201 W. Pike St., Goshen, IN 46526.
