Gail Ellen Yoder, 73, Goshen, died 6:07 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Rachel. She was born Jan. 26, 1949, in Elkhart, to George E. and Doris E. (Bickel) Masten Jr. On Dec. 19, 1976, she married Willie "Bill" Yoder and he died Dec. 2, 2020.
Surviving are three daughters, Suellen (Jeff) Habblett, Arizona, Rachel (Tim) Wallace, Goshen, Amy (Charles) Hanna, Goshen; 10 grandchildren, Ashlee (Robert), Katlynn, Ryan (Elizabeth Preston), Alicia (Tayler), Nick (Yesenia), Kyle (Mariah), Brenden, Saige, Charles "CJ", Jaden; 11 great-grandchildren, Brady, William, Addyson, Skyler, Olivia, Avianna, Amaya, Wyatt, Piper, Ava, Mckenna; two siblings, Delores (Mike) Bryne, Irvington, Virginia, and Michael (Kay) Masten, Lebanon.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and two brothers, Larry Masten and George Masten III.
Gail was a nurse at Greencroft Healthcare for 35 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Goshen. Gail enjoyed square dancing, camping, music and sewing.
A memorial gathering will be one hour prior to the 1 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, Jan. 7, at First United Methodist Church, 214 S. 5th St., Goshen. The family requests that all attending the gathering and service to wear yellow. Yellow was Gail's favorite color. Pastor Diana Seigel will officiate. Burial at Sugar Grove Cemetery will be at a later date.
