Christopher (Chris) Randy Yoder December 21, 1950 — January 21, 2026
Chris Yoder, 75, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on January 21, 2026. He was born on December 21, 1950, in Massillon, Ohio.
Chris graduated from Perry High School, Massillon, Ohio, in 1969. He was Co-Captain of the 1968 Panthers along with having been named to the First Team All Federal League and First Team All-County as a Linebacker.
Chris was a Service Technician with AT&T for 36 years. He served on the City of Suwanee, Georgia Planning and Zoning Appeals Board, City Council from 1994-1998 and as Mayor, from 1998-1999. Chris was also a member on several homeowner boards and a member/Job Steward for the CWA Local 3204. He was an extremely hard-worker and instilled this value in his family members. Chris loved his family, friends, football and talking politics. He also loved nothing better than sharing stories (and tall tales), as well as enjoying good times with friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harry and Anna Yoder; six brothers and beloved sister, Mary Ann Yoder.
Chris is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beth (Moore) Yoder; daughter Kristin Leigh Yoder; brothers, Thomas Yoder, and Kenneth Yoder (Kathy); sister-in-law Lori Moore Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to thank Affinity Care of Georgia and Canton Center for Nursing and Healing for their care of Chris.
There will be a Celebration of Life held to commemorate a life well lived. The details will be forthcoming in the near future.
