James Christopher Bowman of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Born on January 15, 1949, in Chattanooga, TN, Chris was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandparent, and friend. He was passionate about music and dedicated his life to sharing that passion with others.
Chris spent his career as a musician, professor, educator, producer, DJ and stockbroker. He was the founder and Director of Instruction at The Instrumental Music Academy in Roswell, GA, where he mentored and taught students of all ages. Through his work, he touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on the local music community.
Above all, Chis cherished his family. He is survived by his wife, Lani; his children, Zach and Angela; and his three grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on a future date with additional details to follow.
Chris Bowman will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his generosity, kindness, and love of music.
