Gerry Edward Stahly, 63, of Goshen, passed away at 4:10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at Greencroft Health Care from complications from dementia.
Gerry was born on June 20, 1961, in Elkhart to Edward and Elizabeth (Smeltzer) Stahly. He was a 1979 NorthWood High School graduate and he lived his entire life in the Elkhart County area. Gerry worked for 20-plus years at Troyer Foods in the service department before becoming the night time manager. Gerry loved motorcycles. He enjoyed racing go carts and was a former champion of the Elkhart Grand Prix. He also enjoyed racing RC cars and enjoyed downhill skiing in the winter months.
Gerry is survived by a son, Parker Stahly of Goshen; a sister, Debbie (Phil) Marsh of Nappanee; a half-brother, Bruce (Susie) Adkins of Elkhart; his ex-wife, Chris Stahly of Bristol, Indiana; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gerry was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Luther Adkins.
Cremation will take place. Family and friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. Pastor Jeremy Chesley will officiate.
Memorial contributions in Gerry's name can be made to Faith Mission, or the charity of the donor's choice.

I took care of Gerry while he was at greencroft and let me tell you he was a hoot. Gerry and I could go hours going back and forth picking on each other & those are the moments i´m going to remember a lifetime. he was definitely gone too soon, i hope you enjoy all the kinder buenos up there ! i miss you so much already
