GOSHEN - Jeanette F. Yoder, 71, passed away Tuesday June 1, 2021, at her residence.
Jeanette was born on Nov. 24, 1949, in Glendive, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Kathryn (Nissley) Hostetler.
She married Ray Yoder on Sept. 20, 2003.
Ray survives along with three children, Jessica (Jay) Lapp, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Derek (Jamie) Bontreger, Elkhart, Scott (Adriana) Bontreger, Bristol; three step-children, Gary C. Yoder, North Webster, Scott (Heather) Yoder, Fort Wayne and Justin Yoder, Goshen; four grandchildren, Nola and Milo Lapp, Bernadette Bontreger, Lincoln Bontreger; four step-grandchildren, Jonathan, Colin, Jacob and Jackson Yoder; and three siblings, Berdine (Richard) Eby, Overland Park, Kansas, Eileen Hostetler, St. Ignatius, Montana, and Larry (Cindi) Hostetler, Bloomfield, Montana.
Jeanette graduated from Western Mennonite High School in Salem, Oregon, in 1968 and attended Hesston College, Hesston, Kansas. She worked in the financial aid department at Goshen College and retired in 2016. She and Ray attended River Oaks Church.
A sweet and caring soul with a contagious laugh, Jeanette enjoyed hosting family gatherings and adored her children and grandchildren. She loved traveling to Montana in the summer, Florida in the winter, attending the Red Wing Music Festival in Virginia, and motorcycle rides with Ray. Jeanette also enjoyed cooking and baking; her famous strawberry jam and monster cookies were favorites amongst the family.
Visitation will be Monday, June 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral service at Clinton Frame Church, Goshen. Pastors Wes Bontreger and Dan Bontrager will officiate. Burial will follow at Clinton Frame Cemetery. We kindly ask if you have not been fully vaccinated to please wear a mask.
Memorial donations may be given to Faith Mission or Heifer International.
