Marcia Lynn Thompson, 86, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Oct. 20, 2025, at the Center for Hospice Care following an extended illness.
Born on July 31, 1939, in Elkhart, Indiana, Marcia was the beloved daughter of Richard and Eleanor Prugh Corden.
Marcia attended Ball State University, where she met the love of her life, Ennis Thompson. They were married on July 23, 1960, and shared 65 wonderful years together. Originally an art major, Marcia's creative spirit shone through in every home she decorated and in the countless handmade greeting cards she lovingly crafted for family and friends.
She and Ennis spent 50 happy years in Arizona, where Marcia enjoyed watching sports – especially cheering on the Phoenix Suns – and actively participating in her Catholic church. Her devotion to her family was unmatched, and she was known for nurturing strong bonds with her children and grandchildren.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Ennis; sons, Todd and Tricia (Soukup) Thompson, Jeff and Jana (Harvill) Thompson; six grandchildren, Dawson, Brennan, Nicole, Conner, Jordan and Whitney; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darci Thompson Rivera.
Marcia was cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held in early 2026 in Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, Mishawaka.

Ennis and family. We were saddened to hear about Marcia leaving us. We have so many fun memories of our trips together, and just hanging out. There's nothing more important than good friends.
We will lift you all up in prayer for peace among the chaos and comfort during this season. Evelyn and Ed
