I was in his Social Studies class at Kirn Jr. High. I'm now almost 38 years old and to this day I still tell stories about him and being in his class. I will always remember "..like, similar to?" & "history repeats itself."
What a great human with an even greater impact.

Oh the great memories we shared! We coached volleyball at kirn together for about 20 years. You always arrived in the gym before me and left after me - we coached well over 60 7th grade girls many years - I loved being your colleague.
Rest in peace my favorite coaching buddy of all time.

We decided a dozen years ago that we would like to connect with a few of our FAVORITE teachers from Bloomer. We invited Mr. Cowan, Ms. Lindsey, and Mr. Addison and ALL THREE of them came! I remember Mr. Addison had ordered a pizza "to go" probably thinking he'd just pop in and say "hi" but he stayed several hours right up until Godfather's closed! We had a great time reminiscing! He was top tier!

He was one of the most reassuring teachers I've ever had. I will never forget the preamble. More importantly, how he made social studies come alive.

Never had him as a student, and was never coached by him. The fact I know him and am sadden by this points to how much of an impact he had on my generation in Council Bluffs and at Kirn Junior High. What teaching and coaching legacy. I went there in 1996 and 1997.

Mike was my first cousin. And growing up in Indiana, several times his mom, my mother's sister, and dad and he would come down on Thanksgiving day and go hunting.
Another time Mike, my sister Karen and I were playing hide and seek in our haymow and suddenly I dropped head first between bales of hay, literally hanging on by my toes.
Karen and Mike found me and pulled me up.
It was always a delight to go to Uncle Bill and Aunt Pauline home to visit.
