Nick is survived by his mother, Beverly Hayes, and his sister, Shelly. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Hayes, and his brother, Mike Hayes.

Just heard about Nick's passing. So very sorry. Shelly and I were great friends in school so knew Nick. He was a very nice person, yes a great athlete also. Sending hugs to all family.

I have known Nick my whole life. My father was his friend and he was my tee ball coach. I knew his sons through school and I kept in touch with Nick over the years sharing conversation and work trades. I am so sorry for your loss :( He loved his family sooo much!
