Sheila McBride (Keyser) of Bristol, born July 4, 1941, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Kenneth and Betty Keyser, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, with her family by her side, after a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family. A proud 1959 graduate of Sturgis High School, she was married to her beloved husband, Tommy, for 65 wonderful years. Sheila was one of 11 children and is survived by her brother Wayne (Joyce) Keyser and sister Mary LeCount.
Sheila was the supportive mother of three daughters: Christy (John) Hammock, Kathy McBride, and Kim (Scott) Paschke. As a grandmother to six and great-grandmother to eight, her joy and warmth touched every generation of her family.
She worked at Whitehall, Skyline and Miles (Bayer) in Elkhart, Indiana, where she was known for her strong work ethic. Sheila embraced every season of life with purpose – traveling the world, active in her church, gifted in organizing social events, and always present to celebrate the milestones of her loved ones. She will be remembered for her supportive spirit, sharp mind and generous heart.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home,1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 A visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. where funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Tim Sheets will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637, www.alzni.org. Wayne, sorry to read of the passing of your sister Sheila. She was a great lady for years at Miles/Bayer. Prayers for comfort for her family left behind during this difficult time. RIP Sheila in His loving care.

Enjoyed working with Sheila at Bayer. She was always supportive of me, took time to listen and was there if you needed a shoulder to cry on. On top of being an excellent employee. It was privilege of knowing her. She will be missed. RIP Sheila.
