Shirley M. Lehr, 89, of Orlando/Davenport, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Devon and Cloyce; sister Ellen; and sisters-in-law Betty and Nancy.
Left to forever cherish her memory are Chuck, her husband of 71 years; daughters Cindy (Jeff) and Linda; son Chuck (Sondra); siblings Fred, Arlene, Gerald (Brenda) and Gale (Donna); and seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many other family members and countless friends.
Shirley was born on Dec. 11, 1935, the fourth of eight children to Everett and Susie Leiter in Elkhart, and was raised in Goshen.
In 1966, Shirley, Chuck, and their three kids moved to Orlando, Florida, where they lived until 2021, when they moved to Davenport, Florida, to live with their daughter, Linda.
For over 50 years, Shirley was a faithful member of Pine Castle United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, led Bible studies, and was involved in many activities with the ladies' groups. She loved her family, loved to sing and was quick with a joke. Mom, you filled our hearts with your love and joy. We will miss you dearly.
