Susan D. Bergh, 75, of Constantine, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in the comfort of her home, a paradise built with her husband.
She was born Feb. 12, 1950, in New Carlisle, Indiana, a daughter of Edgar and Viola (Matson) Robinson. Sue graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1968 and continued her education, graduating with the first paralegal class at Indiana University at South Bend. On April 5, 1975, Sue married Jacob R. Bergh in New Carlisle; they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Sue worked for 21 years as a paralegal for Church, Warrick, Weaver, Boyn and Nelson Attorneys in Elkhart. Sue and Jake were also owner and operator of Odyssey Pontoon Boats, Elkhart, and finally retired from C&G Wiring, Elkhart, where she served as floor manager. Sue enjoyed painting, photography, baking and being on the water. Most of all she loved being a wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished taking care of her family.
Surviving are her husband, Jacob Bergh, Constantine; daughter Jessica Bergh, Galesburg; son Jakob (Kimberly Stillman) Bergh, Paw Paw, grandchildren Kyrie, Kaeden and Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bergh home, 13480 Riverside Drive, Constantine, MI 49042, on Aug. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. A time of sharing will begin at 4 p.m., led by Pastor Tom Thews.
