Susan Marie Walker, 73, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, at Greencroft Nursing Home.
Susan was born on Dec. 10, 1952, in New York, New York, to the late Russell and Barbara Marie (Hayes) Mann.
She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Ronald Walker.
Susan is survived by her children, Paul (Sara) Walker, Laura (Mark) Yoder, Lisa (Micah) Wright and Sarah (Stacey) Hostetler; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Russell (Janet) Mann and Troy (Amy) Mann; and many nieces and nephews.
Susan worked in retail most recently at Siefert's Pharmaceutical in Wakarusa. Her favorite place to be was the beach.
Susan enjoyed socializing over a deck of cards and good food. She enjoyed shopping especially for matching shoes and purses. Susan watched "Days of Our Lives" at her home. She enjoyed baking cookies at Christmas and celebrating the holidays. Susan was an avid Notre Dame, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. She enjoyed tending her garden.
Most of all, she loved her family. Susan especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, supporting all their activities.
Susan had a great sense of humor. She lived a simple life and it didn't take much to make her happy.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Jan. 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514.
A memorial service for Susan will follow the visitation at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating.

I worked with your mom she she just graduated high school. We were long distance operators at GTE. I like her spunk that she had and she always had a smile on her face. You could find her with your dad when he and his band were playing. I am also sorry to hear that your dad had past.
