Janet, Miss Mathis, was my 3rd grade teacher at C.B.Eller Elementary in Wilkes County. My dad passed in a tragic boating accident at Christmastime that year. I will never forget her kindness. She not only helped me during this time, but my classmates as well. She was a beautiful lady inside and out.
