Afton Marie Beckner

Afton Marie Beckner, 37, of Las Vegas passed away October 13, 2016. She was born November 3, 1978, to Michael and Cheryl Smith in Palmer, Alaska.

Afton was a beloved and treasured mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was dedicated and hardworking, earning her Master's degree in Nursing and often working multiple jobs at one time.

She worked hard so she could have the adventures she so loved. She loved nothing more than spending time outdoors with her son Kyle. She loved kayaking, wakeboarding, skiing, surfing, snow boarding, hiking, travelling, good movies, and especially spending time with friends and family. She lived with the idea that the next great adventure was moments away. Afton lived life to the fullest, was courageous, funny, loving and kind. She had a beautiful soul, a zest for life and was a blessing in everyone's lives.

She is survived by her son Kyle Beckner, parents Michael and Cheryl Smith, partner Jared Johnson, sisters Tracy (Philip) Daley, Lauri (Case) Egan, Christa (Joseph) Seamons, 3 nieces, 6 nephews, eight aunts and uncles and their families. Her memorial service will be held Sat. October 22 from 9 to11 AM at the Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 N. Main Street, Las Vegas.
