Carolyn hooks Staton Obituary

Carolyn Nell Hooks Staton (Cricket), 46 of Winnemucca, Nevada passed away peacefully on May 14, 2008 at her home, surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born August 26, 1961 in Susanville, California. She loved fishing, camping, gardening and life in general.

She is preceded in death by her older sister Cindy Hooks Ford and son Terry Schneider.

Carolyn is survived by her husband David Staton, sons: Joel Rasmussen of North Carolina and Bryan Schneider of Elko, parents : Fran and Walt Johnstone of Winnemucca, and Terry and Shelly Hooks of Reno. Sisters Cherrie Holton of Elko, Tauna Borhurns of Winnemucca, Michele Taylor of Stocton, California, Amy Ra of Reno, brothers David Hooks, of Lodi, California, Leo Laighton of Reno, Sam Johnstone of Colorado, Eight grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

We are all truly blessed to have had her in our lives. She will be missed more than words can say. Memorial services are pending.
