I was deeply saddened to hear about Ernie's death. I was on vacation and was unable to pay my respects at his funeral, so I would like to give my condolences to his family now. Ernie was one of my husband's best friends. Ernie, Vaughn Nelson and my husband -- Dale Porter, used to have coffee every morning at the Coffee Mug in Elko where they solved the world's problems each day. All three of them are gone now and hopefully enjoying one another's company at a coffee shop in a better place.

The world lost a wonderful man...he fought one heck of a battle! Our life was so blessed to have him as a part of it! Unfortunately, we were not able to have our "welcome back party," instead it will be a "welcome Home party.". We know he danced the night away from the time he arrived! Rest in Peace, Ernie! You will be missed!

Tammy and family..my heartfelt condolences to all of you. I remember your dad from when I worked in housekeeping at the Stockmen's (many years ago) he'd be checking the inventory and whistling.
