LYNDA K. MOIOLA

1947 - 2021

Lynda Kathleen Moiola, 73, of Brawley, CA passed away peacefully on August 6, 2021. Lynda was born in Orange, CA December 25, 1947. Lynda moved to Brawley and was raised in the country on the family's ranch. Lynda attended Magnolia Elementary School and Brawley Union High School where she met and later married her high school sweetheart and true love Mike Franks. Lynda met everyone with a smile, always putting their needs in front of her own. Lynda's quick wit kept us all laughing and trying to keep up with her. Lynda personified strength and will, never giving up or taking the easy way out no matter what obstacles and setbacks life threw at her. She wanted all who knew her to do the same, never give up, and always keep moving she would say. If you knew Lynda you laughed with Lynda, she always made sure of that. She was beautifully honest and brutally blunt and had a large local "fan club" at the bank, grocery store, and nail salon. Lynda is preceded in death by her father and mother, Jim and Virginia Moiola; brother, David Moiola; and her forever cowboy, David Rutherford. Lynda is survived by her daughter, Shaeley Franks; grandchildren, Brenna and Brett Berker; her brother, Tom Moiola and wife Laura; niece, Jill Murphy; and nephews James and John Moiola. Lynda has numerous cousins. She often referred to cousins Sharon Barnebee and Mary Frances Fleming as her sisters. Long time caregiver and dear friend Cecilia (Ceci) DeLucas. Lynda had many special people who cared for her at Heart & Hand. Patty Diaz and Diana Gamboa were her personal "glam squad" and forever friends. A celebration of life will take place in the fall, in cooler weather, at Lynda's request.
