Julia Lemon Obituary

Our beloved mother went Home to be with God and her family on 10/3/2025.

Julie was born in Rio Tino, NV on 1/4/1938 to Margaret Mary King and Patrick Joseph Glennon. She was the youngest of 12 children.

The family moved to Elko when she was a baby and in 1941 her brothers built the family house that she would grow up in.

Julie graduated Elko High School in 1956 and started working at Sewells Grocery Store as a meat wrapper at age 18. She remained at that store until 1986.

She retired in 1992 and moved to Oregon to be closer to her sister and brother and made many dear friends there over 32 years.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses. Dan Sheen (Gracie), Kellie Drake (Robert) and Linda Lemon. 6 grandchildren, Kimberly Magness, Kenny Johnston, Christopher Gonzalez, Tommi Gonzalez, Marissa Lemon and Ryan Randolph. Great grandchildren, Brook Ramsey, Isabella Martinez, Lola, Lily, Sonny and Angel Mendoza. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Mom was surrounded by family and friends on her last week here with us. It was a true tribute to how loved she was.

Graveside service will be held at the Elko Cemetery on Saturday, October 11th at 10 a.m.

Celebration of Life to follow after at 1943 Griswold Drive.
