Larry Max Tracy

January 30, 1937 - March 18, 2025

Larry Max Tracy, a proud 88-year-old Veteran of the Korean War, peacefully entered everlasting life on March 18, 2025, at his home in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. He is reunited with his father, Max; mother, Marcella; brother, Van; his nephew, Gregory; and his niece, Amber, who preceded him in death.

Larry was born January 30,1937, in Ucon, Idaho. He attended Bonneville Schools, then married his beloved wife, Beverley Anne Loynd on May 25, 1956. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea and Fort Riley Kansas. He used the GI Bill to get his degree at Great Basin College in Elko, Nev. Larry worked a variety of skilled jobs during his career. He was a machinist at Carlin Gold Mine in Nevada, a mechanic at Southern Pacific Railroad in California, Utah and Nevada and he augmented the Police Department in Mesa, Arizona with Security. Larry loved learning, walking, camping, visiting National Parks, geology, astronomy and to read Clive Cussler books.

His adventurous spirit is carried on by his family: wife, Beverley; son, Larry Don; daughters, Deanne and Delyne (David); sisters, Carol and Sonja; brothers, Les and Terry (Kathy). He was proud of all his grandchildren, Christopher, Brett (Amy), Erin, Derek, Cory, Chase, Heath, Chelsea and his great-grandson, Dante. He was also blessed by his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF), or the American Heart Association.

Larry's "Celebration of Life" will be held at a future date and will be announced.
