SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Mike Turner, passed on August 26, 2021, in Scottsdale, Arizona, at 8:17 p.m., due to complications with Covid-19. He was 76 years old. Mike was born in Long Beach, California on August 23, 1945. Mike's parents were Byron R. Turner and Dorothy L. (Appleby) Turner. Mike had one younger brother, Daniel L. Turner.
When Mike was nine years old his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Mike graduated from Monte Vista Grade School and Camelback High School. He then attended Arizona State University for two years. Mike served in the army for four years. He was in the artillery then an administrative specialist, serving in Germany. When he returned, he completed his business marketing degree at Arizona State University. While working as Sears Department Store in Phoenix, Mike met his future wife, Janice M. Feller. They were married on August 8, 1969. Mike and Janice had one child, Christen Michelle Turner (Marshall). After Sears, Mike worked in banking then for Salt River Project. This was followed by career as a regional salesman for Thermos in Oregon and California. After Thermos, Mike lived and worked in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona as a stockbroker. After Mike and Jan divorced, Mike returned to California. He continued as a stockbroker until he retired. Mike was a regular visitor to Elko, Nevada to visit his parents and brother.
Mike is buried with his parents and grandmother, Verna Appleby, at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He is survived by his daughter, Christen and his brother, Dan.
