Mona May Stenovich

1928 - 2024

Mona May Stenovich was born on October 31, 1928, in Ogden, Utah and brought joy and laughter to all she met until April 14, 2024, when she passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

During her 95 years she saw many changes in her life, and the world around her, and embraced them all, some not too quietly. She enjoyed tole painting and her and her late husband, Robert (Bob) Stenovich, gave new life to old Wonder rocking horses by turning them into beautiful carousel horses. She also enjoyed her yard and flowers; watching the hummingbirds return each year; and talking to everyone, be they a friend or a stranger.

So full of love, she taught us all.

What a heart was truly for.

Her smile, her laugh, her

stubborn stare,

Always true and kind.

The time she spent with

one and all,

Is the gift she leaves behind.

Now she walks amongst

the clouds,

There's vigor in her stride,

And watches us from up above.

With pleasure and with pride.

Seasons come and seasons go,

Their changes always near.

But as long as we have

memories,

always be here."

Mona is survived by her daughters, Lynda (Frank) Demaline, Sharon (Lew) Dawson, Tamara (Rick) James, and son Tom (Linda) Stenovich, her sister, Elva Herzinger, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Her love and laughter will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at her home on August 31st for anyone wanting to say goodbye and share their memories.
