Steve was a resident of Elko, Nev., since 1985. Steve enjoyed all sports but especially enjoyed being a soccer coach for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed camping and hiking in Lamoille Canyon with his family and friends. His family was the world to Steve and any time spent with them was precious and special.
Steve is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jan Teeter; their four children and spouses Mike Teeter (Kristan), Christy Watson (Dave), Jeff Teeter (Christy), Ami Simpson (Brock). Steve also had nine grandchildren who were the light of his life, Miranda Watson, Chelsi Watson, Tristen Simpson, Tierra Simpson, Jordan Carson, Seth Watson, Nathan Teeter, Connor Teeter and Aubrey Teeter.
A celebration of his life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Burns Funeral Home with a gathering to follow.
Steve was a loving and special husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, father-in-law, and friend. He was very loved and will be missed greatly. The family requests memorial donations be given to the local hospice organization.

Steve was my best friend in my late teens and early 20's. We played football every Sunday after church at the community Center below his house. I actually introduced Steven to Jan(miller)Teeter. He was truly a special person and I know he was a great dad.

Steve was like my 2nd DAD. I loved hanging out with him because he wasn't just a Father-in-Law, he was one of my best friends. I'm going to miss camping with him and watching all the sports together like we did. Thank you to my beautiful wife and family for allowing me to be a part of your family and sharing Steve with me. My heart goes out to all of you and I will always be here for you. I Love You All. Also I love you Steve, thanks for the memories.

We were all so sorry for the passing of Steve and the pain that followed for his family. He was such a great person whom I have never heard a bad word spoken of. I will miss him yelling at the tv with the rest of the boys during the games. While nothing will ease your pain, please know that we will be there for you Ami, and the rest of the family, now and forever.

We love you all,
Tara, Juan and family
