NORMA GALMARINI Obituary
Wampum
Norma J Galmarini, 87, of Galmarini Lane, Wampum passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Good Samaritan Hospice following a one year illness.
Born January 14, 1933, in Beaver Falls, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Piazza Montani . She was married to the late Joseph John Galmarini for 62 years, who passed on December 11, 2015.
Norma was a graduate of Wampum High School in 1951. She was a member of the former St. Monica's Church in Wampum and currently Holy Redeemer in Ellwood City. She was a supervisor at the former Sno Top Mushroom. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and always had a full table for anyone who would visit. In her later years she and Joe enjoyed casino trips and traveled during their retirement. She also had a love of animals, including her fur grandchildren Monty, Sage and Topi.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra (Dennis) Glasser of Wampum, Angela Bionda of Cranberry, and Anita (Gary) Morini of New Castle; a son, John (Judy) Galmarini of Wampum; one sister, Joan (John) Valentino of Wampum; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Augustine of New Castle; five grandchildren, Natalie, Camille, and Joseph "Joey" Galmarini, Gary Michael and Tyler Morini, and a great-granddaughter, Callie Morini.
She was also was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Montania and two sisters, Mary Wahl and Josephine Botti.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020, from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, Main Street, Wampum. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Redeemer on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 10 a.m. with Father Mark Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Jansma, Drs. Stepp, and Christou, AHN Cancer Center and Good Samaritan Hospice for the compassion and care in our time of need.
