Anna Delgadillo

Anna Marie Ponce Delgadillo, was surrounded by her family as she was gently called to Heaven on May 24, 2010. She was born to Tony and Carolina Ponce on March 1, 1962, sounding out the joyful announcement that  a second daughter among five brothers had arrived. She was courageous in life, bravely facing difficulties that came her way, never complaining, always encouraging. She will always be our shining heroine. She had a warm smile and a loving generous spirit that was evident to all who met her. Her family was her sole priority. She actively supported her sons educational activities as well as her husband's military endeavors in the National Guard. Anna was to receive the Yellow Rose of Texas Award through the Office of the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, for her outstanding support of the Texas National Guard troops and the unit that her husband had been involved with. Yet her proudest achievements can be seen in the loving faces of her sons. Her absence creates a deep void in our hearts and we will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, Tony Ponce. She is survived by her husband, Sergio, and her sons, Dale Francis, Ernesto Antonio, her mother, Carolina Ponce, her sister Margaret, and her brothers, Tony (Dolores), Robert (Elizabeth), Mike, John (Terry), Daniel (Jeri), and nieces and nephews. The celebration of Anna's life will begin with the viewing at Martin Funeral Home - Central on Thursday, May 27 from 5-9 pm, rosary at 7 pm. Mass will be Friday, May 28 at Our Lady of the Light Church at 9:45 am with burial following at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
