Arturo Vallejo

Arturo G. Vallejo of El Paso, TX went to be with our Lord on April 5, 2010 at the age of 72, surrounded by his family. He was born in El Paso, TX April 9, 1937 to Carlos and Tomasa Vallejo. His mother passed away when he was only 3 years old and two years later his father passed away. At the age of 5, his Aunt Guadalupe and Uncle Jose Guillen adopted Arturo, his brother Carlos and sister Beatrice. Arturo proudly served his country in the National Guard. He was also employed by the City of El Paso's Engineering Department for 30 years and retired at the age of 49. After retiring he was self employed and surveyed a large portion of El Paso and surrounding areas. A loving husband, devoted father, and generous individual he touched the lives of many. Arturo is survived by his dedicated wife of 40 years Olga Vallejo, brother Carlos Vallejo of La Puente, Ca., sister Aurora Castorena, son Aaron Vallejo and daughter-in-law Rocio, son Adrian Vallejo, and daughter Erika Campos and son-in-law Arturo Campos Jr., grandchildren Alejandra and Charlene Vallejo, Phillip and Steven Campos and 2 grandsons on the way. He is preceded in death by parents Carlos and Tomasa Vallejo, adopted parents Jose and Guadalupe Guillen, and sisters Beatrice Escarsega and Hortencia Salcido. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Crestview Funeral Home on 1462 Zaragoza from 2-9pm and a rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be at Saint Mark's on 11700 Pebble Hills on Monday, April 12th at 10am followed by Interment at Evergreen East. Directed by CRESTVIEW FUNERAL HOME, 1462 Zaragoza 856-1400.
