Daniel, Susan Huffman Obituary

Susan was born in Roanoke, VA on January 6, 1955 to Calvin Huffman and Ruby Nabhan Huffman. She was the only girl of 5 children. Susan grew up in the El Paso/ Del Rio area and graduated from Cornado High School in 1973. She was married to Jim Scherr, with whom she had 3 children: Rhaelynne, Maxey, and Whitney. She then moved to Houston in 1993 and was re-married to Steven Daniel in 1995. Susan was a fun-loving family-oriented person, known to welcome any & everyone into her home. She was MS woman of the year & was an active member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. While in El Paso, Susan owned the fur coat store "The Cover up" & was active in politics, campaigning, pageantry and hospitality. She was a role model for her grace, loyalty and unconditional love for everyone that she knew. Susan passed away May 19, 2009 at her home in Bellville, TX due to complications of Multiple Sclerosis. Funeral services were held May 23, 2009 in Bellville, TX. A memorial service will be held in El Paso on June 13th at Como's Restaurant, 4030 N. Mesa, 2-5pm. Susan is survived by: Husband- Steve Daniel; Daughters- Rhaelynne Scherr- married to Eric Frank; Maxey Scherr; Whitney Scherr. GRANDCHILDREN- Kaira Frank; Tryston Obevoen; Khian Frank. SIBLINGS- Calvin "Butch" Huffman Jr.; James Huffman; Terry Huffman; Danny Huffman; & many other relatives and loved ones.
