ERCILIA SAUCEDO Obituary

One loving husband, six crazy kids, twenty-five awesome grandkids, five precious great-grand kids! But what these numbers don't show are the countless others that she saw as family--so many that she counseled at EPCC and otherwise; so many she mothered, sat and prayed with; so many she inspired and loved. Mom had many gifts and encouraged each of us to grow and use ours. Her smile and her laughter were contagious, but the greatest gift she shared with all who knew her was the gift of her faith. She lived life with her eyes on the afterlife, never for this world. It is for this reason that we implore everyone who knew her to call or go visit your loved ones, laugh, love and give thanks to God that she touched your life, if but for a brief moment in time. Ercilia Dearo Saucedo leaves behind her loving and caring husband of 55 years, Roberto, six children and their spouses, Patsy (Glenn) James, Lorrie (Dan) Saldivar, Bobby Jr. (Karin) Saucedo, Tony (Becky) Saucedo, Gabe (Claudia) Saucedo, Fabian (Meredith) Saucedo. She is preceded in death by her parents Antonia and Urbano Dearo, Her brother Santiago, her sisters Evangelina and Hermelinda and survived by Yolanda, Irene, and Maria Elena. Pallbearers will be: Bernardo, Christopher, MiguelAngel, Aaron, Danny, Phillip, Dan, and Glenn. Services: Viewing is Thursday, November 10 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with Vigil at 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church, 4700 Delta, El Paso, 79905. The funeral Mass is November 11 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church, with interment following at Mount Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of El Paso, Texas.

To Bobby and all of Arcy's beautiful children, grandchildren and great-grand children, I offer my sincerest and most heartfelt condolences in your loss. Heaven truly gained a beautiful angel when Arcy went home. When I had the pleasure of working side by side with her everyday, she spoke of how much she dearly loved her family and how much immense happiness you all brought her. She spoke of her faith and how much she loved and thanked God for all the abundant blessings he had bestowed on her and those nearest and dearest to her heart, how with His guidance, her children had become children of God and lead devout and such abundantly blessed lives. She was truly a beautiful woman with so very much wisdom and grace. Her beautiful and vibrant smile will always stay in my memories of her, and her contagious laugh will echo in my heart forever. I will truly miss her. May God continue to bless you with comfort and peace always and may you find solace in your beautiful memories of and with her. Arcy, you brought happiness and love to everyone that crossed your path, and I truly thank you for the true friend I found in you. May you Rest In Paradise and continue to guide and watch over your lovelies so they are comforted by you as always.

Arcy,

I was 13 years old when I first met the Lord there at Open Arms Community. You were our second Mother, watching us during prayer meetings, and being an example to all youth that would attend. We would take trips together, laugh together, and cry together. 23 years later i can still feel the love you gave me and will never forget the great times we had learning about our Lord. Thank you for your love and attention, you will always have a special place in my heart. XOXOXO

P.S Thank you for being my mentor at EPCC you were always there to help me.

Love you!!!!!!!!!!

Arcy there are no words that can express the love you shared with me and all of the Open Arms Youth Group. You were our mother while we were under your guidance. You helped us learn about God and his everlasting love. You will forever be in our hearts. Thank you for guiding me for so many years and sharing Gods love! God has received such a beautiful Angel! On behalf of the Open Arms Youth Group, may you rest in peace...

Saucedo family I'm so very sorry for your loss. I have such great and fond memories of Arcy during my teen years attending Our Lady of the Light church back in the 1980's. Her love of God and life was contagious. I'm sure she continues to laugh and praise God in his presence. Peace and comfort to all of you.
