Erik Estrada Obituary
El Paso - ERIK EDWARD ESTRADA "BATES" entered into the hand of his Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the age of 48. He was a loving son, father, brother, friend and will be greatly missed. He was a graduate of Coronado High School and played football for Coronado and acquired his nickname "Bates" from his coaches for his play like Bill Bates from the Dallas Cowboys. He was a longtime general manager in the bar and restaurant industry. He is survived by his beloved mother Barbara Ann Estrada, his father Edward Estrada, his loving son Joshua Edward Estrada, his beloved siblings; Lewis Estrada, Jason Estrada, Patricia Ann Clements and Bianca Estrada. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Erik Edward Estrada "Bates" entró en la mano de su Señor el jueves 12 de diciembre del 2019 a la edad de 48 años. Era un amado hijo, padre, hermano, amigo y lo extrañaremos mucho. Se graduó de Coronado High School y jugó fútbol para Coronado y adquirió su apodo "Bates" por sus entrenadores de juego como Bill Bates de los Vaqueros de Dallas. Fue gerente general durante mucho tiempo en la industria de bares y restaurantes. Le sobrevive su amada madre Barbara Ann Estrada, su padre Edward Estrada, su amado hijo Joshua Edward Estrada, sus queridos hermanos Lewis Estrada, Jason Estrada, Patricia Ann Clements y Bianca Estrada. Bates
Going to miss you. You are probably the most positive person I have ever meet in my life. In sports, having fun and in living you always gave 100%. Lots of good times and memories from jr high, high school and college years. I will keep them with me. May God be with you and all your loved ones

I spoke with Erik on a few occasions and though I did not know him well, he was very personable and genuine. My condolences to his family, friends, and those who knew him from a distance but still felt a loss with his passing. May your memories be treasures for you.
