Sonny, "Gerard" Gerardo Saenz- "Mr. Nice Guy "left us on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from this life to join his loving father-Abraham, mother-Luz and brother-Tury to his eternal life. Sonny was born in El Paso, Texas, on July 25, 1962 and graduated from Socorro High School c/o 1980. He was a hardworking, loving caring man that would give and help anyone and everyone that was blessed to cross his path. A die hard Dallas Cowboy fan. A true gentleman at heart and a contagious smile. A giving man that loved to travel to California to be around his loving family and friends. He is survived and loved by his "girlfriend"- partner in crime MaryAnn Carrillo. His entire family- sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, California family and many friends. Estella(8), Terry(2), Junior&Elida, Alba&Chuy(13), Efren&Christine(9), Pat&Marshal(6), Roy&Hilda(8), Eddie&Claudia(10), Aida&Robert(10), Sonia(3), Gilbert"Pocho"&Denise(4), Angie&Paul(5). A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10am-1pm with a service starting at 12pm. Funeral arrangement made by San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Drive, El Paso, Texas.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. I wanted to share this pic of us at the Kermes. Sonny was such a giving person, I remember him giving some young children sitting near us some money. His heart was full of love for everyone and we got to see it first hand!!! We miss you Sonny...until we meet again at the Kermes in heaven!
