J. Villegas Obituary
J. Roberto Villegas, We were blessed by the years that the Lord our God, gave us the opportunity of having you in our lives. And now we give thanks and honor your life, which was both your family and your music. Together with his piano, he accompanied great artists, such as, Alejandro Algara, at the Desert Inn of Las Vegas, Nevada. The legend, Marco Antonio Muniz, Fernando Fernandez, Amparo Montez, Avelina Landin, Vicky Landeros, Estela Reynolds and many more. One of his final presentations was at the side of Hector Bonilla, in a majestically performed interpretation of the music of Agustin Lara. Recognized by his colleagues and fans as "the best pianist on the border" in Cd. Juarez, he entertained us, at Mundo's, Tommy's, La Cucaracha, La Nueva Central, La Rocca and in the Madrigal Restaurant of the Camino Real. In El Paso, TX, he made us fall in love in El Caballero, Monica's, Forti's, Mexican Elder, The Lancer's Club y en El Paso Club. You live in our hearts now and forever...Your loving wife, Celia. Your children, Emilio & Patricia, Felix & Celia, Roberto & Urisol. And your beautiful grandchildren, Kristian, Felix Roberto, Randy, Maya y Kiara. Your teachings and blessings are forever engraved in our lives. The notes of the piano announce your arrival to the Kingdom of Heaven. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Doniphan. Vigil will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Hillcrest Chapel-Doniphan. Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 21, 2008 at San Francisco de Assis Church at 1 pm. Interment private by family. Directed by Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5054 Doniphan Dr. 587-0202
