Suegro,
You were the best father-in-law anyone could wish for. The bond and trust we had between us was amazing. I remember the first time I met you (in your home). You were so friendly and I felt accepted into your family from that day on. Through the years, our bond grew stronger. Thank you for the beautiful memories we had together, and for encouraging me to finish college. You will always have a special place in my heart. May the Lord recognize you for all the good you did. You touched so many family members and people. May you rest in peace.

Ay,"Mr.G", it still seems unbelieveable! God must have really needed you muy pronto, but I know you are celebrating with Mom,Dad,Licha,Mage, and Larry. Although I miss you lots, I have to be happy for you. You are enjoying your eternal reward. Life will never be the same without you. I'll miss those daily phone calls,Sunday chats after mass, and Sunday lunch at Moe's. You filled your role as "Big Brother" quite well. Always being loving and caring for all of us in your own unique way. Thanks a bunch, but I know you knew how special of a brother you were. Vaya con Dios, my special brother. See you later!!
Love you,
Jo Jo

Grandpa,

The eleven years I spent with you were the greatest. I know it seems like you hardly knew me but you knew just how I liked my food. I loved eating menudo with you on Sundays, I liked knowing that you made bean burritos and cheese quesadillas just for me. You always made me feel special with all of the little things that you did. Our phone calls were short but sweet and you always told me that you loved me. I looked forward to our visits during the holidays and in the summer. Oh, dear grandpa the memories you left me with will stay in my heart forever as will you. Grandpa I will always miss you but I know you will be watching over me until the day I join you in that better and happier place. Semper Fi Marine! I love you Grandpa!!!

Grandpa,
I will never forget you. You would do anything for your grandchildren. Thank you for taking me to the movies, my practice, and my games. I am going to miss you very much at school because you knew when I didn't want to go to Daycare and you would pick me up, especially on Fridays. I enjoyed the time we spent together and you taking care of me. I will miss the food you cooked for me, especially the grilled cheese. I thank you for letting me see you in my dreams. Until we meet again to spend time together I want you to know that I Love You Grandpa and I will miss you forever. My kids and grandkids will know what a special person you were.

Grandpa,

Its been hard this past month without you being here with us but you have left us all with wonderful memories. I will always remember your famous chile con queso and menudo. You were always so happy when you were in the kitchen cooking. I'll never forget your beautiful smile and your famous humming sound. But most of all I will never forget how you were there for me and all your other grandchildren as you attended our first holy communions, sports games, graduations, etc. You were the best grandpa we all could have asked for and we will all keep you in our hearts forever. I miss you dearly but I know you are in a better place. I hope you will still visit me every now and then in my prayers to let me know how you are doing. You will always be there in my heart and your legacy will live on through the rest of us. I miss you and I love you!

Grandpa,

Although I only had you in my life for nine years, I had some amazing memories with you. Some of the greatest memories were spent in Cozumel, South Padre, sitting in the floor section at the Spurs game, my first Holy Communion and just hanging out together in San Antonio or El Paso. You always had a smile on your face and I enjoyed just being with you. I miss you so much and wish that I would have had more time with you but I know that you will be my guardian angel for as long as I live.

Grandpa,

Its hard to believe a month has passed since you left us. Sometimes it feels like you are just at the house and whatever it is we're doing you will join us later, as you always had. I was there when we said our goodbyes but I still don't believe you are really gone, maybe you may not be with us physically, but spiritually your close to each of our hearts. Everytime we talk about you or our Florida trip it brings a smile to my face. I know you are taking care of us and watching out for our well being....even to this day! You always were the life of the party, and I bet your doing just fine up in heaven :) I miss you and I love you!

Dear Monica,
Although I never had the pleasure of meeting your father, I know he raised a caring and loving daughter. I am sure he was smiling in heaven as he heard your conversation with me the other day. Hearing your expressions of love and honor for your father and the wonderful memories you recalled as we talked on the phone, he had to be a wonderful person and an amazing father. Hold your memories close to you and let time and your faith help you through your grief.

Dear Lety and family. I offer you my heart felt condolances on your loss. Amazing how an error in trying to find my extended family, gave me a greater gift. It gave me an everlasting friend in you Lety. My heart goes out to you. Trust that our lord is cherishing the laughter and kind and gentle smile your father has. Trust that he will always be with you. Even when you least expect it, he will be there. He will be there in a smile, or in a funny hair cut. Or a snicker from one of the kids. Maybe even a grin. Remember that he lives on threw all of you.
always

Grandpa,

When I moved to San Antonio I missed seeing you often. Looking back now I am so blessed that I have so many memories of us when I was younger. Being older, I remember you coming into town and making me your delicious meals, or us going out to eat or to the groceries. I will cherish our times together forever. I miss you dearly but I know now that you are always with me and the family. What keeps me strong is knowing that now I can always talk to you. I look forward to seeing you in my dreams!

You were and always will be special to us! I love you lots Grandpa!

Freddy, I will always remember the first time that I saw you; our first movie; our wedding; and having our three beautiful girls. We always talked about our wonderful sons-in-law, and how much we loved our six grandchildren. We laughed about having our lives focus around the number three. Three daughters, three sons-in-law, three granddaughters and three grandsons. Although you left me on Earth to watch over our family, I know that you sit in Heaven above watching over all of us. We love you and will always miss you. Your soulmate of 58 years ~ Yoly Gomez

Daddy,

We love you and we always will. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories. You were our hero on Earth and now our guardian angel in Heaven.

Your services were a reminder to us why the Marines were so important to you. Your services were unforgettable; just like you. As we watched and cried with pride we realized that not everyone is blessed to have such a wonderful, loving father and I am so thankful that my sisters and I were so priviledged to have you!

Amari and Remy will always remember the wonderful times that they spent with their Papa in San Antonio, Cozumel and El Paso. We all love you and miss you dearly. Please know that the Gomez girls, their husbands and their children will always treasure you in our hearts!

Rest in peace Daddy!

Daddy, although you may be gone, you are certainly not forgotten and never will be. We love you and will continue to do so for the rest of our lives. Thru this painful time it was comforting to know how many people you touched, the great stories and memories you left behind for us to treasure. You are our strength and our rock, our hero and yes, oh yes, our proud marine! Now we ask that you become our guardian angel, continue to watch over us - Mom, Dolores, Monica, Kristelle, Lynette, Brian, Amari, Christian, Remy, Rick, Peter, Sergio and myself as we still need you. May the lord grant you happiness in his glorious kingdom until we are together again. Never forget how much we love you.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

You are in our thoughts and in our prayers. God bless you.

My Dad was an awesome person who was full of life. He really enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren: Kristelle, Lynette, Brian, Amari, Christian and Remy. He was proud to attend any of their functions. He wore his Grandpa t-shirts with pride. He was and will continue to be the wind beneath our wings. My Dad was vivacious and enjoyed talking to people even if he did not know them. He made friends for life and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

We were touched to see so many people at his services. Thank you to everyone who was there for us throughout this very hard time, whether physically or in prayer. God bless you all.
