Juan Roberto "Kiro" Oaxaca

Juan Roberto Oaxaca, "Kiro", born December 27, 1946, died on August 8, 2020 and reunited with his parents, Javier and Eulalia, his brother, Lorenzo Rafael, his son, Felipe Israel and his infant daughter, Eva Sofia, in the glorious presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Kiro is survived by his beloved wife, Claudia and her son, Oscar, his siblings, Jose Luis, Ramon Arturo, Maria Gloria Oaxaca Goss (Charlie), Rosa Linda, Judith Aurora Oaxaca Villarreal (Oscar), Victor Manuel, Martha Delia Oaxaca Armenta (Martin), Francisco Javier (Rebecca), Carlos Antonio (Dolores), Eva Lina Oaxaca Jones (Steve) Teresa Inez, and Luz Elena Oaxaca Flores (Juan). Also surviving Kiro are his children, Monica Alyssa Oaxaca Otero (Mark), Miguel Andres (Paula), Sara Isabel, Belen Araceli Oaxaca Warren (Scott), Lluvia, Ian Javier, Yamil and Diego. Left to cherish his memory are 7 grandchildren, 18 nephews, 5 nieces, many cousins, other relatives and countless friends.

Kiro graduated from bel Air High School, Class of 1965, served in the U.S. Army, graduated from UTEP with a degree in Business and graduated from UT-Austin Law School. He established his own law practice with several offices in El Paso and Houston. He later joined the law practice of Scherr/Legate and continued to practice until medical complications led to his retirement.

Kiro was an avid softball player who played on many teams including the Road Runners an most recently with the Nine Elevens.

Kiro always had "our back", proving it with his trademark expression, "you're covered!" He was a person that we could always depend on for help, advice and unconditional love and support. We will always remember his beautiful and contagious smile. He truly loved GOD and shared that love through his example and way of life with all of us.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews and life-long friend, Dr. Juan M. Gonzalez.

Due to the current pandemic precautions, services will be private for immediate family members only. Our family requests that you stay safe and remember Kiro and his families with your thoughts and prayers.

A Kiro le sobrevive su amada esposa Claudia y su hijo Oscar, sus hermanos José Luis, Ramón Arturo, María Gloria Oaxaca Goss (Charlie), Rosa Linda, Judith Aurora Oaxaca Villarreal (Oscar), Víctor Manuel, Martha Delia Oaxaca Armenta (Martín), Francisco Javier (Rebecca), Carlos Antonio (Dolores), Eva Lina Oaxaca Jones (Steve) Teresa Inéz y Luz Elena Oaxaca Flores (Juan) . También le sobreviven sus hijos: Mónica Alyssa Oaxaca Otero (Mark), Miguel Andrés (Paula), Sara Isabel, Belén Araceli Oaxaca Warren (Scott), Lluvia, Ian Javier, Yamil y Diego. Quedan para apreciar su memoria sus siete nietos, 18 sobrinos, cinco sobrinas, muchos primos, otros parientes e innumerables amigos. Kiro se graduó de Bel Air High School, generación de 1965, sirvió en el Ejército de Estados Unidos y se graduó de UTEP con un título en Negocio. También se graduó de la Facultad de Derecho de UT Austin. Estableció su propia práctica legal con varias oficinas en El Paso y Houston. Más tarde se unió al bufete de abogados de Scherr/Legate y continuó practicando hasta que complicaciones médicas lo llevaron a su retiro. Kiro era un ávido jugador de softbol que jugó en muchos equipos, incluidos los Road Runners y más recientemente con los Nine Elevens. Kiro siempre tuvo ""nuestro espalda"", demostrando con su expresión de marca registrada ""¡estás cubierto!"" We met when I was 6 years old. A grand total of 22years, You were like an uncle to me. Always giving me advice when I needed it always having great laughs with you at the ball park. I will miss you dearly Mr. Oaxaca. Thank you for being apart of my life. I will always remember you and keep you in my heart. My deepest condolences to the family. May the Lord wrap his arms around you and give you peace.
