Dr. Cobbs did emergency surgery on my foot after a car accident in 2005. After 7 surgeries and 19 months on crutches in 2010 I walked into his office. To this day after any x ray of my foot the Dr immediately ask who my surgeon was. They are amazed that I am walking.
He was a talented surgeon with a bed side manner that was second to none. My condolences to his family. I will never forget the man.

I just discovered this obituary today (10-23-2022), and it saddened me because Ken and I were good friends from 7th to 12th grade first at Eastwood Knolls Junior High and then at Eastwood High. I went off to Marquette University in Milwaukee, and we lost contact. I started to smile when I remembered the time he and I went to Europe with Susan Collins and Mrs. Fabiano and a bus load of Floridians. We walked the streets of London, Paris, Rome, and many other cities and countries in 1983. I just wanted to let you know that he was one of the kindest people I knew in my youth. I was devestated to learn of his passing, but I wanted to thank him posthumously for his service to our country! (My father was KIA in Vietnam as an Air Force Captain in 1968). I wanted to express also to his survivors that he was a great youth and though I didn't get to see it an even greater Patriot and Christian! God bless you and all your family. I hope this message reaches you all.

The times we spent with Ken and Courtney and later their boys,
during the time he was in Columbia S. C. Completing His Orthopedic Residency are PRICELESS! Meeting any. Friday night. At Our Basil Pot. restaurant ( that Ken may be available to join us) discussing any and everything with the 2 of them Watching So many Sporting events. Basketball mostly. Sharing meals at our different homes( We were their Sunday School teachers originally) but our friendship transcended any age difference! His medical acumen was needed many times within our family of 5. Ken and all his wisdom & friendship and sharp wit and sense of humor.- We will never Ever forget. We feel so blessed that Both Ken and Courtney COBBS Came into our lives...... and Both will Forever Stay . Lynne and Don Walters. Columbia, South Carolina
