I met Larry in 1988 when I was the new Supt. at El Paso CC and Larry was at Coronado CC. Larry came to the club to welcome me to town and was so gracious. But I could tell he was a character. He took me to see Coronado and I will never forget touring the course with him driving down the fairways in his Lincoln Continental while telling me the virtues of Oxygenated water. I wasn't really sure if Larry was square with me or initiating the "new guy". As I got to know him though I came to realize he was a real genuine friend.
I'm sorry to hear he's gone, but believe me, he's definitely not forgotten.

Dear Sue,
Larry was a strong and very interesting person. I learned many things from being associated with him while in KC and in the turf industry. Barb and I have many memories of him. God Bless you and your family.

Dearest Aunt Sue, Rhonda, Larry Paul and Robin:
I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Larry. The only thing that helps is knowing that he is not suffering or in any pain. I can recall many stories and jokes- some of which I had better not go into detail here!! Uncle Larry was quite the story teller and jokester, and ALWAYS made me laugh.
Condolences to all of you,
Love you all, Jamie and family

Dear Sue,
Carol and I are very sorry to hear about Larry's passing. He was a very strong influence in the early days my career back in Kansas City and I will never forget him. I have many fond memories of him sharing his life experiences and wonderfully interesting stories...I enjoy looking back through his book to relive those days. I always admired his endless energy and enthusiasim for whatever he was doing. He was never afraid to try something new and cutting edge in the golf industry and was thinking outside the box long before the term was ever spoken. God bless you Sue and deepest sympathy for your entire family.
