Xochitl... My condolences to you and your entire family during this difficult time....

Love always

April 24, 2012

In this difficult time of sorrow, there is one prayer that to me best embodies how Lidia G. Sandoval lived as an example to all of those lives she touched:
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is dispair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen "Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi"
I will miss the true love she gave unconditionally to me and everyone in our family; she never gave up having faith in us and was always trying to bring peace to all of us.

April 24, 2012

My thoughts and prayers are with all of The Sandoval family. May they find some consolation in having had a loving Mother and know she is now in the hands of Our Lord.

April 24, 2012

It was the will of God for me to be blessed with such a wonderful mom. God has given you His grace to teach me to love and to forgive and becoming a role model for me already as a child, I was longing to be once “just like you”.
I left you long time ago but because of your constant love and prayers in spite of being far away, God has always protected me overseas.
You might not be with us on this earth now but I will keep you deep in my heart until our Lord will call me.
Mami, te quiero mucho, tu hija Coco.

Lidia G. Sandoval was not only a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; in addition I experienced deep caring feelings of her as a son- in -law too.
Many of us know about a feeling of latent uneasyness or skepticism when the issue is about the mother-in law. It seems to be an international phenomenon!
However, in the person of Lidia G.Sandoval, this was absolutely not the case!
If I would have had the chance to pick a mother-in-law on my own choice, I could not have chosen a better one.
For me she was unique!
In my mind, thinking of her, there is no other space than for the firm belief that she is now in the presence of God the Almighty,in his house that has many rooms and standing at a window, looking down to earth to her loved ones and like so many not countable times praying for them.
I will not forget her.
