Marguerite and I grew up together, we were the same age and played together along with my sister Sally. We were next door neighbors and did everything together. I will miss her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May God give them peace and comfort during this time. David Hart

Margie was my best friend growing up in El Paso. We lived next door to each other since we were born. We played together everyday, went on vacation together, we laughed, as well as cried together. She was the big sister I never had. She introduced me to the man I married. Marguerite had a profound influence on me. There will never be another Marguerite. She was full of love, caring, humor, and strength. I will miss her dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I first met Marguerite when I taught her daughter at Loretto Middle School in the 80'S. She, Jud, and I would have many interesting conversations about education, the arts, psychology, and children. We passed "like ships on the night" bumping into each other sporadically, perhaps sharing coffee, news about our kids, discussing politics, movie reviews or what not.
We were bereft at the loss of Jud and the kids were brave through that tragedy. This untimely passage is unbelievable as Marguerite had entered Act Three of her life. The children have learned by her example how to handle loss and how to proceed with grace. God grant you peace and laughter in the days to come as we remember pet adoptions, gardens, plays, movies, and silliness. She will leave a huge hole in many hearts.

When I first came to the El Paso Playhouse to participate in my first ever Community Theatre production ( "Our Town") in 2004, one of the people who supported me ,unfailingly, was Marguerite. There were so many things I needed to learn about being on stage that I did not know. But she was there to gently guide me and to support my efforts. I had to chance to work with her on several productions at the Playhouse after that and I always found her to be creative, witty and helpful. She will be greatly, greatly missed, With much love, Larry Sears
