MARIA ESPARZA

MARIA BRITO ESPARZA, born September 17, 1923 was called to our Lords kingdom on September 23, 2013, at her daughters home in El Paso, TX. Mom, Mama, Nana, Tia Maria, Aunt Mary is reunited with her Romeo who has waited in heaven for his Juliet for four years. Her husband Roberto preceded her to his eternal life on September 7, 2009, as well as her daughter-in-law Ginger Esparza. Mom was a most devoted wife and mother who loved and adored her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved having her family together, she received such joy always making her famous meals in a flash. You showed up, she had food. Her faith and devotion to God was a beautiful example to her children. Though she actually was quite shy, you would never know by her sense of humor and welcoming personality. She would recount stories that could make you laugh no matter how many times she told them. She famously loved her Saturday Whataburgers, a tradition our father started for her years ago. Almost to the end, she may not have remembered us, but she always remembered her Whataburger and Oreo cakesters. She is survived by her children Roberto Jr. and wife Bertha, Austin, TX; Ricardo Esparza, Las Cruces, NM; Ruben and wife Patty, El Paso, TX; Rita Flores and husband Mario, El Paso, TX. Grandchildren Robert III; Audrey Villagrana and husband Danny; Peter and wife Sarah; Ricky and partner Eloisa Torres, Valerie Elsworth and husband Chris; Melanie; Abraham and wife Michelle, Roman and wife Veronica; Andrea and husband Eli Warren. Great grandchildren, Lance; Karissa; Katie; Anae; Priscilla; Sierra; Blue; DJ; Roman; James; Christian; Noah; Yakov; Amrit; Elizabeth; Elijah; Luci and Victoria. Her sister Jane Morrison, Biloxi, MS and brother Abraham Brito and wife Isabel, Albuquerque, NM. Pallbearers: Ricky Esparza, Chris Elsworth, Abraham Esparza, Eli Warren, Roman Esparza, Lance Esparza. From the heart, we thank so many of you who have been with us during this long journey home for Mom, especially friends Debra Armendariz, Isela Beanes and Rebeca Martinez and cousin Patsy Gomez and family who gave us strength through love and prayer. Caregivers who assisted us with much love and care Socorro and Amada; her nurse Claudia who kept her as comfortable as possible and Eduardo who bathed her with gentle hands and a beautiful singing voice. The Esparza Family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 from 5-9 PM. with recitation of Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Martin East. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 at 9:00 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. WHEN CHRIST SHALL COME WITH A SHOUT OF ACCLAMATION AND TAKE ME HOME, WHAT JOY SHALL FILL MY HEART. THEN I SHALL BOW WITH HUMBLE ADORATION AND PROCLAIM; MY GOD, HOW GREAT THOU ART. This earth was blessed to have her for 90 years, her work here is complete. Now rest Mama?rest mi amorcita. We love you.
