Oscar Fregoso

Oscar Fregoso went home to be with Our Lord, his family and his loving wife on April 8, 2010. He was 78 years old. He was born to Alexander and Beatriz Fregoso on June 16, 1931 in San Diego, California. He later moved to El Paso where he met his wife Frances Ruedas at Ft. Bliss, TX. They moved to California where he worked for the Sherriff's Dept. in LA County. Later he graduated from El Paso Community College and UTEP and became a teacher. After he retired he taught citizenship classes, and in his spare time he was a master craftsman, electrician, carpenter, plumber, and mechanic. He also enjoyed playing and watching sports. To his family he was a loving husband, devoted father, loving grandfather and a doting great grandfather. There was nothing he wouldn't do or couldn't fix for us. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Frances 'Kika' Ruedas Fregoso. He is survived by his sons Hector (Austin, TX), David (Adela, El Paso), Richard (El Paso), and daughter Isela (Las Vegas, NM); Grandchildren: Roxanne (Houston, TX), Christina (Gilbert Ornelas Jr., Albq., NM), Ashley (Houston, TX), David Jr. (El Paso, TX); great-grandson: Gilbert Ornelas III; brothers: Alex, Robert, and Richard; sisters: Stella, Martha, Elisa and Grace; and many, many nieces and nephews. Our dad, a cool and tough Paisan. We will forever love and miss you and Mom. Until we meet again. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at San Juan Catholic Church. Burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
