Patrick Joseph Downey

El Paso - Patrick J. Downey, 74 years old, passed away peacefully in El Paso, Texas on February 24, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 27, 1946 to William and Nathalie Downey. Patrick was in the United States Navy, and is a two time veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for the State of California as a Chief Engineer for 30 years. Many of his years were spent enjoying friends and family in Hanford, California. He is survived by his daughter Katie (Downey) Mann of El Paso, Texas, his son-in-law Jeremy Mann, and his three grandchildren Hunter, Mollie, and Charlotte. Two brothers Richard Downey (and his wife Kathy) of Torrance, California and George Downey (and his wife Kathi) of Lompoc, California. His ex-wife and friend Deborah (Hauck) Downey of Las Vegas, Nevada, and many more family and friends. Patrick will be missed by many and his memories will continue to live on. In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting donations be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
