Robert Almendarez Obituary
El Paso - Robert G. Almendarez Sr, 79 passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2021 surrounded by his family. Robert was born in Santa Rosa, NM on May 14, 1941. He moved to El Paso after serving in the US Army and was a long time El Paso resident. He retired from United Parcel Service (UPS) where he worked for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Trinidad Almendarez, and grandson Isaiah Salsberry. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Martha I. Almendarez, sister Maria Koker, 5 children - Kathryn Almendarez Marsman, Karin Salsberry (Eugene), Kimberly Almendarez (Carlos Zola), Kyleen Almendarez, and Robert Almendarez II (Alyssa), 5 grandchildren - James Diaz, Jr., Madison Marsman, Joshua Diaz, Aurora Valdez, and Gabriel Almendarez, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery on Thursday, June 3rd at 9:30 am. Please visit his online registry at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net
Robert G. Almendarez Sr, de 79 años, falleció pacíficamente el jueves 13 de mayo del 2021 rodeado de su familia. Robert nació en Santa Rosa, NM el 14 de mayo de 1941. Se mudó a El Paso después de servir en el Ejército de Estados Unidos y fue un residente de El Paso durante mucho tiempo. Se retiró de United Parcel Service (UPS) donde trabajó durante 35 años. Le precedieron en muerte sus padres José y Trinidad Almendarez, y su nieto Isaiah Salsberry. Le sobrevive su amada esposa durante 48 años Martha I.
