September 11,1976 - August 13, 2020

Sara passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the age of 43 battling Covid-19. She will be reunited with her mother Cecilia Villalovos and her brother Paul Rincon Jr.

Sara was very outspoken, caring, loving and known to be the life of a party, living life with no regrets. She always went out of her way and loved spending time with her daughters, dancing, traveling and enjoying life with her husband. Sara was greatly loved and cherished by her family and friends and will be sorely missed.

Sara is survived by her husband Raymundo Montoya, 3 daughters, Jasmin Chavez, Valerie Gutierrez, Deborah Chavez, granddaughter Lyla Gutierrez, her brother Herman Barreras, and her parents Dora Villalovos and Salvador Aquino.

Public visitation is on Saturday, August 22nd 5-9pm at Perches Funeral Home, East.




Sara Montoya falleció pacíficamente el jueves 13 de agosto del 2020 a la edad de 43 años luchando contra el Covid-19. Se reunirá con su madre Cecilia Villalovos y su hermano Paul Rincón Jr. Sara era muy franca, cariñosa, querida y conocida por ser el alma de una fiesta, viviendo la vida sin remordimientos. Siempre hacía todo lo posible y le encantaba pasar tiempo con sus hijas, bailar, viajar y disfrutar de la vida con su esposo. Sara era muy querida y apreciada por su familia y amigos y la echaremos de menos profundamente. A Sara le sobrevive su esposo Raymundo Montoya, sus tres hijas: Jasmin Chávez, Valerie Gutierrez, Deborah Chávez, su nieta Lyla Gutiérrez, su hermano Herman Barreras y sus padres Dora Villalovos y Salvador Aquino. El velorio abierto al público es el sábado 22 de agosto de 5:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. en Perches Funeral Home East.

I am so sorry to hear about Sara's passing. I had shared her video a year ago and it came up on my memories. I saw that she lost the battle a month later. I lost my father in February 2021 to covid as well . I'll be praying for your family. Keep her memories alive

I didn't know Sara personally. I came across the youtube video she recorded in the hospital. My heart goes out to all of those that are missing her. She seemed to have a beautiful heart. May your memories comfort you.

I am so sorry for your families loss. The bravery Sara showed by recording her Facebook video before her death is remarkable. I am a Radio Station Program Director...and I shared her video and her message to wear masks and that Covid is not a joke. Even while she struggled, she was worried about others... that is a hero.
