Timothy Skar Obituary

Timothy M. Skar, 50, passed away on December 26, 2009 in El Paso, Texas from cancer. Born on March 22, 1959 to James R. Skar and the late Joanne Dykers, Tim is survived by his children, David and Rebecca, and grandson Vincent Tyler. He is also survived by his father, James R. Skar, step-mother Patricia Thomas, brother Mark Skar, sister Julie Hunziker, and step-sisters Diane Pollard and Donna Cobert. After graduating from Lakes High School, Lakewood, WA in 1977, Tim joined the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of the Gulf War, having served as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Armed Services from 1980-1995. After a medical discharge from the U.S. Armed Services, he continued to work as a civilian for the Raytheon Corporation training soldiers in Saudi Arabia to operate and maintain the Patriot Missile Defense System. Tim was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling, gardening, folk dancing and his beloved English Sheepdogs Harvey and Cassie. At his request, no service will be held. God bless you Tim, I'm not sad for you, I'm sad for me to lose my dear friend. I know you are happier, pain free and with those you love so much. May the good Lord bless your fmaily and help them with their sorrow. Say hi to my mom, she loved you so much. You were my first love Tim, I will alwyas love you my friend. All my love
