God Bless you Spc. Carrasco and God Bless his loved ones. My husband and I knew Tony during his brief employmnet at Square D Company in El Paso, Tx. right before he enlisted. My husband worked close to Tony and always said that he admired him very much, he was a very dedicated worker, which makes us sure that is how he served his family and our country; with much dedication. Our prayers are with his family. We are so honored to have known a Hero such as Tony. We will never forget him.

Prayer for Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen

I did not know Tony Carrasco, but my son told me he was a man who truly loved his family, especially his wife and unborn son. My son thought Tony was a great soldier, but said he was an even greater human being that was loved by everyone in his unit. Tony worked hard, never complained and was always smiling. He passed away in my son's arms in a village in Northern Iraq. My son and his entire unit are devastated by his loss. My prayers and deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Follow The Rainbow To Heaven.

A Soldier had die out on the
battlefield;

Broken hearts are weeping For
Them,

But take comfort of knowing
that God had sent Them a
rainbow from heaven;

The Souls of the Soldiers
have gone to there home
in heaven,

Our Loved One's has follow
God's lovely rainbow in the
sky;

All the way to the end of the
sky.

That leads all the way to the
other end of the Lord's
house in heaven,

So just keep on praying and
trust that God will send us
that same rainbow in the sky;

Where Our Loved One's are
waiting For You and For Me at
the end of the rainbow in

While I never met Tony Carrasco, hearing his story touched me greatly. A young life cut very short but he died protecting our country. He gave selfless of himself on the day he decided to protect the USA. While his unborn child will never know his/her father his life will continue thru his baby. To his young wife I say to you take care of yourself and the baby that you carry, may God bring you peace during this hard time and know that your husband at his young age gave more of himself them some double his age. To his parents my deep condolences on your loss, your son was a hero!

To the Carrasco Family,

I am deeply sorrowed of your loss. Although I did not know Tony in person, I feel I have some connection to you. My oldest son served in the Navy for 10 years and was in the Persian Gulf three different times. He is out of the service now, but still carries the pride of serving his country. My youngest son is a West Point Graduate, class of 2006, currently serving in Iraq. He also is serving his country with pride. Thank you Tony for your service to our great nation. I sleep better at night knowing you are watching over us.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Tony will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to our Brother-in-Arms Spc. Tony Carrasco. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Tony. And to Tony it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while deployed with the U.S. Army in Iraq. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Tony, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,341 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Tony’s family and loved ones.

Spc. Carrasco,

You were truly loved by my husband. He was honored to serve with you. He spoke of you often and was truly proud to be your chief. You will always be rememberd and deeply missed by all of those who knew you and served along side of you.

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Spc. Carrasco and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of freedom and liberty. Sadly, America has lost one of its finest heroes, the U.S. has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage, which they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice Spc. Carrasco has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.

To the family and friends, of Spc. Carrasco, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to carry on. Just as you were always with him when he was deployed overseas, know that he will always be with you wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Spc. Carrasco was a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

"Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid, they have earned our undying gratitude. America will never, ever forget their sacrifices."

Spc. Carrasco the flag of the United States of America has your blood sewn into the fabric; it shall forever wave in your honor.

Freedom requires sacrifice the protected will never know.

God bless you.

I am Deeply Saddened to learn of the devastating loss of SPC. Tony Carrasco. The Price this Brave Young Soldier and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, Will Never Be Forgotten.

May Tony, rest safely now, in the Loving Hands of God and may the Healing Grace and Comfort of the Lord be with the Carrasco family.
There will Never Be Enough Ways to Humbly Thank these Young Heroes for their Sacrifices, my brother among them. Killed in action in Vietnam in 1967.

"Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and He shall sustain thee."
~ Psalm 55:22 ~

I am sincerely hoping that you can feel the thoughts of caring and support that surround you today and in the difficult days ahead, as this Grateful Country mourns with you, for Someone Very Precious to you, Who Is A True American Hero to all of us.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
