Dolores Marie Cederholm

1929 - 2025

Dolores Marie (Bialke) Cederholm, 95, a longtime resident of Babbitt, MN, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025 at Carefree Living in Babbitt.
She was born on July 10, 1929 in Greenbush, MN to her parents Bernard and Eleanor Bialke. After graduating from high school, she moved to Milwaukee, WI to work and this is where she began dating her future husband, Newell. They both returned to Minnesota where they married and began raising their three children, Bob, Judy and Janet.
She worked primarily as a homemaker and also for Slade's Big Dollar in Babbitt and later as a school bus aide for disabled.
She was an avid reader and belonged to the Friends of the Library for many years. In earlier years she enjoyed snowmobiling and dance club. Later she took up golf in which she thoroughly enjoyed. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and shared many fun outings with the local gals. Her closer friends began their own club, named the Escape Club, making sure laughter and shenanigans were had by all, however, we are not privy to all the happenings on those special gatherings. She also took pleasure in gardening, playing cards and travel.
Dolores will be remembered for her warm heart, spirited personality and deep love for her family and community. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched.
Many thanks to the wonderful, caring and compassionate staff at Carefree Living who became Mom's second family. We would also like to thank Essentia Hospice for their support, their kind, gentle care and for making her final days very peaceful.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Eleanor Bialke, her beloved sister, Bernadette, and Newell, her husband of 65 years.
She is survived by her children, Bob (Kim) Cederholm, Judy (Brian) Thomas and Janet (Allen) Priolo, grandchildren Scott Thomas, Lisa (Zack) Anderson, Ross (Tara) Priolo, Jaclyn (Jace) Romano, great granddaughters Lettie Anderson and Piper Priolo, sister Corrine Schedlbauer, brother Tim (Bev) Bialke, nephews Don, Rick and Steve Schedlbauer.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Babbitt, with a luncheon to follow immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to donate, please consider Friends of the Library or the Babbitt Golf Course. Arrangements are with the Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.
