Thomas Joseph Sutter Jr., 82, of Babbitt, MN, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025. Born February 18, 1943, in Chicago, IL, Thomas served in the U.S. Air Force before working many years as a Quality Control Inspector at Ford Motor Company. He retired at 55, proud of his work and passionate about his invention, which he devoted much of his life to. After living in Indiana, he moved to Minnesota in 1999 and embraced a quiet life surrounded by nature. He loved fishing and found comfort in the company of his dogs, Bernie and Baz. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Joseph Sutter Sr. and Marie (Nykiel) Sutter, and his brother, John "Jackie" Sutter. He is survived by his children: Thomas Sutter III (Lisa), Scott Sutter, Joshua Sutter (Sammantha), and Jenna Sutter (Tony); his brother Jerome Sutter (Oak); and many grandchildren and extended family who loved him. He will be remembered for his inventive mind, gentle spirit, and deep love for his family. A private celebration of life will be held on Father's Day, Sunday, June 15, 2025.
