Our parents grew up together. As a child my sister and I spent time with Doug and his sister Pam. As adults lives take on different directions. Doug was very kind as a child. Always a good person. Never did anything to hurt or harm another human being. As we got older he went on to pursue his goals and ambitions. Always had a life plan and went after it. He is a very beautiful person who now lives in heaven. May Jesus comfort his family during this time of Doug going home. But I'm sure he's looking after his family and friends, he was that kind of person. Blessings to his loved ones, Glenda (Meyer) Lundak

Doug was a fraternity brother, a Kappa Alpha at the University of Missouri - Rolla (now the Mo Univ of Science & Technology), and we also worked together at IBM. While consulting for client on a project in Alberta, Doug and I drove one evening up to Ft McMurray. We saw something odd going on in the night sky so we pulled over and got out of the van. Looking up, we saw an amazing display of Northern Lights covering nearly half the sky with a milky white vail. It was the only time I've ever seen the Northern Lights, and I'll always remember that I was with Doug.

A gentle and kind man, very smart and loved his family above all.
I will miss him. The world was so much better because he was in it.
Rest in peace, nephew-friend.
